Jo Boyd and Amy Stokes
Costume Designers, IF: Industrial Fashion
“We have both been inspired by Hobsons Bay manufacturer Qenos, who supply HDPE blow moulding resin used for making dairy milk bottles. We are collaborating to create fashion using this product, exploring its wearable potential. This involves experimenting by cutting shapes and trying out different applications. Our aim is to take something produced by local industry and transform it from an everyday product into something surprising, unexpected and beautiful.”
Jo Boyd has a Diploma of Textile Art, a background in patternmaking and textiles and a lifelong appreciation of fashion design, textiles and costume. Amy Stokes is an AIPP accredited photographer and stylist with an imagination that imbues her creations with an extraordinary amount of detail.
