Talking Hands (2016)

Talking Hands is a large format photography exhibition of black and white images, exploring the diverse experiences of Hobsons Bay workers, revealing their skills, struggles and passions as told by their hands. The owners of the hands are from a range of backgrounds and a variety of industries. Some retired years ago. Their stories provide a rich insight into our history and reveal how innovations in industry have changed the way we work. The opening event will feature performances from local musicians. Join us in this celebration of the workers of Hobsons Bay.

Bring your hands down to Woods Street where they might be photographed and added to the Art & Industry Facebook gallery!
