bettybossyboots, Handsome Shoes for Interesting People

Betty Ennis is a maker in many creative mediums with many years working in student film, fashion, music industry, art, entertainment, major festivals and public events.

The process of manually building her totally handmade ‘Handsome Shoes for Interesting People’ draws from all these experiences in design, technical drawing, form, function and skilled construction.

After completing the RMIT short course and multiple advanced workshops, Betty created bettybossyboots in 2010 working from her studio in Spotswood. Her mission is of unlimited possibilities, using colour, one-off finds of leather and other irregular materials creating unique sculptural men and women’s bespoke boots and shoes for exhibition and wearing.

This is Betty’s second year involvement with the Art & Industry Festival and Industrial Fashion.

Other highlights of her career include;
- Creative Victoria for Melbourne Fashion Week Exhibition at Melbourne Town Hall – September 2017
- Participating curated exhibition market FOMA at MONA – January 2017
