Secrets of Being an Artist
Young people are often told not to become artists, but some defy this advice and succeed anyway. There are all sorts of artists living amongst us. And what do they actually do from day to day? But how did they do it? And how do they pay the rent?
When all we see is the outcome, we sometimes forget that there is a process behind it. Secrets of Being an Artist is a podcast that asks you, professional creatives from Hobsons Bay about the process. How does a writer get their work published? How does a visual artist land an exhibition? How does a photographer come up with their ideas?
Through this podcast, we reveal the individual steps taken on the journey to become an artist.
Each episode will end with our guest sharing their secret to being an artist.
